J. Scott Callahan owns and operates Scott Callahan Attorney at Law P.C. in Bedford, Indiana. Scott practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, criminal defense and family law.

Prior to opening his law firm in 2007, Scott was the Lawrence County Prosecuting Attorney from 1991-2006. During his 16 years as Prosecutor, Scott oversaw the prosecutions of approximately 32,000 criminal cases and earned a reputation as an aggressive prosecutor and skilled trial lawyer. In 2006, Scott served as chairman of the Indiana Prosecuting Attorney Council.

Prior to being elected Prosecutor, Scott served two clerkships, one for the Honorable David E. Nims Jr., in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in the Western District of Michigan (1988-1989) and the other for the Honorable John G. Baker on the Indiana Court of Appeals (1989-1990).

Scott graduated from the Indiana University Mauer School of Law in 1988.
